London House Prices Leap Up 6%

Recommended Posts

Saw it and read in disbelief. Seeing the authors (EAs) explains a lot but can they actually outright lie about this and have it swallowed by the Times? Is there a methodology for measuring these supposed rises in their sale prices, if there was any kind of measurement at all? For all I or the journalists know, it was a wishful finger in the air by the head of Haarts or whoever but given a ring of truth by being printed in a fairly serious newspaper.

Notwithstanding, in my neck of the woods, Hampstead/Belsize Park NW3, flats and houses in the £1-1.5m range that I am keeping an eye on (and most of it is surprisingly average at any price) and which would probably need City bonuses to buy them, are not moving and some have been on at the same price for a year or two. Perhaps it will all suddenly sell in the next month at asking price... :D
