Not sure,  but people keep telling us the planet is burning.  This plot is global and from satellite data:

That looks similar to the same section of time from Grand Solar minimum (the longer term over 11 year cycles).21688156_1659462687438797_66960052918118

It's one of two new weather stations (new this year) that measured the record temperature.  The Delhi weather stations that have been in operation for decades do not show record temperatures at their locations.

On Sunday, all 11 weather stations across Delhi recorded maximum temperatures above 45°C, but Mungeshpur and Najafgarh (in south-west Delhi) recorded readings above 49°C, numbers that the national capital has never clocked.

To be sure, the automatic weather stations in the two neighbourhoods only started operations this year, so no past data is available.

Next you’ll be saying it doesn’t matter if London gets to 50C because it’s just the concrete 🙃

Bear in mind they are worried about it being 2 degrees warmer than the late 1800's.  We've already had one degree and you are worrying about the next degree.  That's a lot different to 50 degrees.

It's quite easy to show high London temperatures if you really want to do so.  Heathrow is massively bigger than it used to be, and you can site the thermometers in the jet blast areas.  They've done this in other cities in the world so why not London.

Interesting article could this happen in UK, how may former POMS might decide to return to Blighty, maybe in the future the UK will be the US of today as the old British Empire helps the down trodden oppressed starving and homeless masses with dual nationality home.

I did some research and there are 6-10 million plus family (18-30 million assuming wife and one child) who could come home if the climate crisis gets worse.

Aus will have escalating outward climate migration over next few decades. But I foresee Tasmania becoming the first step, then NZ.

I thought this was supposed to be a thread on climate change and it’s likely impact on the economy and house prices?  Instead it is is turning into a local weather report.

Can we perhaps return to issues such as the opportunities for growing the Green Economy, the madness of global-scale supply chains for things that can be produced locally, and the likelihood of significant numbers of climate migrants coming to the U.K. please?

Do you see the forked tongue common to these images ?

Nasa.  T-1.  Satan - one "t".

"National Aeronautical And Space Administration" adds up to 666 in a code where A=26 and Z =1.

Interesting eh?

Ever wondered about Stanley Kubrick's cryptic ending in the film 2001 Space odyssey? Everyone has who has seen it.

Can't find the whole ending but basically the actor gets old really quick (for anyone who hasn't seen).

Mark 13:20: “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive."

I suppose that's one version.

I'm not a bible student, is Mark referring to the extreme old ages noted in the Old Testament?

I have heard that our lifespans may have been much reduced after alien intervention.

The BBC weather forecast says 33 degrees for Seville on Saturday.  I suspect that's not too unusual for Seville (known as a hot city) in late May.

The only climate migration going on here is massive queues of Brits going abroad for sun and warmth.

Oxford UK Daily Maximum in May:

The hottest May days were 1944 and 1947, when it reached 30.6 degrees.

I don't see they have much to panic about in Oxford to be honest.

Potters Bar

Five hybrid buses up in flames in Potters Bar.  They were "on charge" according to the Twitter message.

An eyewitness said he heard a noise like a jet engine before an explosion.

Erm. You quoted half a sentence of my post out of context kzb. My view is also that there are unlikely to be a significant number of  climate migrants coming to the U.K., at least in the next decade or two.

CAN'T-MISS FACTS
  • Millions of gas, hybrid, and electric vehicles are recalled annually for fire risks
  • Gas vehicles have the most manufacturer recalls for fire risk defects
  • Electric vehicles catch fire less often, but electric car fires can be harder to put out than gas car fires
