MonsieurCopperCrutch
Scunthorpe - the only place in England with a particularly rude word in it. Does anyone on here frequent 'spoons? Couldn't think of a worse way to spend an afternoon surrounded by a bunch of ruddy faced Brexshiteers.

Ted Lewis wrote a book calls "Jacks return Home". where the said Jack returns back to his hometown of Scunny. A year later the book was turned into a film.. Get Carter! Big Orange
The UK's got an ingrained problem with infantile minded thugs who think the adult sphere is the extension of the playground (but on steroids) and they can punch their way out of anything (or punch down people who just look funny). Of course the police and courte cannot handle this long term. I was violently hospitalised by a young thug who vaguely recognised me (a mental age of 11, mixed with testosterone, cluster B personality disorder, and booze does not mix). Northern England's the worst place for this sort of thing and rough kids there really hate Goths, and endlessly hound them (I have an acquaintance from Yorkshire who was perpetually victimised by sink estate thugs and one even made attempt on his life by driving a car right at him). I thought you were policing the Cummings thread anyway, or is it just my comments? Edited June 1, 2021 by simon99

Well 'spoons must be like a honeypot to alcoholics with their cheap warm liquid refreshments, and one of the earliest signs of alcohol abuse is a persistently red face due to the enlarged blood vessels. It's a medical condition called telangiectasia.

I generalize about lefties on the internet, with good reason, based on experience, but then I don't lecture people on morality or claim any moral high ground. I think everyone's a hypocrite in one way or another including me. p.s. I only ever voted Tory once, at the last GE, least worst option for me in the circumstances. I wonder if there are any alcoholic lefties with the same condition who are seen as "Brexshitters" and sneered at by our moral elite? Staffsknot
There's a lot of people on here banging on about lefties all posting a similar style and claiming not to vote Tory all of a sudden... Just an observation
PeanutButter
I like a spoons now and then. Big rooms, lots of space, app to table, cheap curry on Tuesday. Who cares? We all die in the end and sometimes I get tired of paying £6 a pint in my local fancy pants place. Drinking less these days anyway.
