Their plan is working in so far that prices are increasing and wealth is being transferred from the likes of meg and Sam to developers and wealthy land and property owners.

Yes we can..when we see exploitation,  cynicism,  greed...we should complain.

Yep -

(Tried to yo multiquote but Ads are covering the button ffs)

30k .. yeah. People are paying 30% then facing a 10% new premium knock off too.

London was HTB ground zero. Prices will be off 60k+ easily.

And these are houses that have been owned for 5 years.

RealAgent

Whilst I generally support the idea of building more new homes, what I really want to see is a stop to the exploitation of the help to buy scheme by new homes developers.

There is not a month goes by where we are not telling someone that on the second hand market their property is worth £20-30,000 less than they paid for it.

How this situation doesn’t receive more attention is frankly astonishing

Good find about Jelsons Count they are local to me.

I dont want to associate their company with all the crappy new build estates I see, I have no idea what they are like, but they are clearly coining it in due to riding the tax payers.

Shameful.

Nice

I'd like to have got a  picture of the hang-man ( Banker ) and the soldier issuing the orders ( Government ).

Couldnt find an appropriate picture, but it seems apt anyway.

Happily, we aren't yet forced to take out mortgages, although we are forced to use their counterfeit currency.

It's legal tender. You use it because you believe the utility it confers is superior to the alternatives you could find elsewhere in the world.

Plastic anarchist. First World complaints.

Nah they could go and live in an enclave and trade crypto with each other all day instead. Except they don't have a big enough power station for the energy cost.

The Libertarian cranks are always promising to establish a Randian utopia in South America or on the High Seas or some such but they never do. Too comfortable at home to suffer any genuine hardship or sacrifice.

We went and founded America to escape the tyrannical monarchists of your ilk and you slavers followed us over.

Best, Good, and Humanity: IT MAY NOT BE A PERFECT SYSTEM 7 BUT IT'S STILL THE BEST ONE THERE IS. A system without human sacrifice only looks good in pictograms
