From the straight line view across garden in the photos it doesn't look so bad, almost passes itself off as a large trellis/gazebo. Just don't look up!!!

Not a contender for 'Pylon of the Month'

Looks like the driveway got a make over.  If you compare the first and second pictures you can see that they clearly had to spend a bit of money to make it more attractive.  Looks like they jacked up the price to compensate though.

It would be tempting to set up an induction coil in the attic for free electricity...

(It's illegal, don't do it)

Yes, I've heard that before!

Nice 2013 article here:

"'Please be advised that within the boundary of this property there is an electricity pylon.'"

Within the boundary? It takes up the whole fkucing garden!

They were going to replace the old pylons with new modern ones a while ago. There was a competition to design a new one. I think a winner was chosen but then nothing seems to have happened.

well i have learnt something today, thanks for the link! Wonder if anyone has retrofitted to a van and then park it near pilons and move every so often.

That's one of the most impractical ideas I've ever heard of in my life.

That is shocking (pun not intended, really) to be honest. Who in their right mind would buy this? The value is zero. The best option is to bulldoze the whole place. I a, fuming at the very audacity to price it at that amount, the bloody cheek. Is the country filled with boomer chancers?

People who live close to pylons can find hat led lights refuse to turn off. They use so little power that the induced current is enough to keep them lit.
