Kyouken Posted January 29, 2021 Share Posted January 29, 2021 I have been watching the number of properties available on Rightmove in my area now for at least 7 years. I regularly take a postcode from the centre of town specify a 5 mile radius and see what is available both SSTC and without (added at anytime). Typically I see about 3600 listed including SSTC and I don't think I have ever seen it above 4000, currently it is 3480. The interesting part though is the number of properties which are not SSTC. The highest I ever saw was roughly 1750 which was about 3 years ago and it dipped down to 1350 for a period. Basically going up and down between 1400 to 1600 mostly over the years. I am only looking for 2 / 3 bedroom properties within a certain price range. Can you tell if it is a drop in a certain type or price or overall? Based on a quick glance it looks like the number of 2 bed houses have fallen a lot as well as 3 bed. Well you will be happy to hear that this week there does seem to have been an uptick. 663 of 3230, there seems to have been a few more added over the last couple of days although usually i don't check this late in the night.
