Rental demand falls as EU tenant numbers hits four-year low

https://propertyindustryeye.com/rental-demand-falls-as-eu-tenant-numbers-hits-four-year-low/

...During 2017, the average proportion of London tenants who were originally from EU countries stood at 29%. In 2018, this dropped to 24% and then further to 22.5% in 2019. In 2020, EU tenants accounted for just 22% of London residents – a total decrease of 7%...

Of course. My point was that Russia doesn't really do military "adventures" for what of a better word, but will happily cause trouble with its smaller neighbors (which of course used to be part of Russia).

Russia is losing men and material at a rate of knots in Syria as well, propping up the remnants of the long ago disintegrated Assad regime.

"decrease of 7%" makes it sound less dramatic than it is - looking at it another way, it's gone from 29 to 22 - that's a 25% drop!

An for HMOs and certain landlords these will be the best paying tenants also.

Working away from home (with the objective of making money to return or send back) is a different mindset and will mean sharing at a higher density etc

That's the slow internal collapse, meanwhile over 4000 Russian military personnel have deployed in Syria and and heavy casualties are concealed with the use of mercenaries from ex-Soviet states.

Why is the UK paying for EU citizens to leave?

Don't they want the population?

Imagine you sacked and stuck in a cousins of friends rented home in the UK.  2k is not a lot of money but it could help someone get back home and sort themselves out.

Its not going to help the folk on dingy as they have to pay a lot more than 2k to get here.

Love it - "With the current and sustained landlord-bashing by the Government" 😂

And this follow up from a fellow landlord, the dozy mare is getting a proper slap down.

"My god you screech absolute nonsense ros… UK is no longer part of the erasmus programme thanks to a bunch of selfish boomers, also EU students are now paying 3rd country charges so no more EU students."

You might be happy to allow China to manufacture consumer electronics (owned by Japanese or American companies), but would you be happy for China to develop your communications networks? Would you be happy to fly on a Chinese designed and built passenger jet?

That why the bull re Airbus or Boeing going down is misguided - two player market - did you know Honda made and sell a private jet ? Most people would trust Honda but it hasn't been  a resounding success

There are simply massive barriers to entry in these markets that even China won't be able to overcome

But will China ask Chinese company to fly with a Chinese designed and made aircraft, on internal routes? Policy going on for a decade, trust built if no crash experienced, and there you have a 3rd competitor.

I am a little surprised that Chinese auto manufacturers have not made inroads to the west. In the 60s Japanese cars were a joke, likewise South Korean cars in the 80s. Now look at them. For some time now I have expected China to put a sub £10,000 compact car on the market in the UK, but no sign of that happening really. Sure, it would be a subject for comedians, but at that price people would buy it.

Skilled Chinese labour is very very expensive now.

People make the mistake of assuming wage costs are consistent across China. It's like comparing a cleaners' wage in London docklands with a cleaner in Albania. Some provinces in China are very well developed with high wages. Many are not.

If you want Western level skills then you are in the Pearl River Delta.

However, its *more* expensive than operating in the UK + US, by a major margin. And to that youve got to account for the CCP interfering, IP theft risk and general hassle.

To get cheaper labour you need to move further and further out. Then all youll find are a bunch of TB riddled grandparents looking after the grandkids.

CHinas population is collapsing now.

Working age pop peak ~5 years aback.

2500 a year? That's exceedingly good. I've had quotes from outsourcing firms four ten times that, in fact the price is so high that we ended up hiring locally globally rarer than central in India.
