An for HMOs and certain landlords these will be the best paying tenants also.

Working away from home (with the objective of making money to return or send back) is a different mindset and will mean sharing at a higher density etc

Imagine you sacked and stuck in a cousins of friends rented home in the UK.  2k is not a lot of money but it could help someone get back home and sort themselves out.

Its not going to help the folk on dingy as they have to pay a lot more than 2k to get here.

But will China ask Chinese company to fly with a Chinese designed and made aircraft, on internal routes? Policy going on for a decade, trust built if no crash experienced, and there you have a 3rd competitor.

I am a little surprised that Chinese auto manufacturers have not made inroads to the west. In the 60s Japanese cars were a joke, likewise South Korean cars in the 80s. Now look at them. For some time now I have expected China to put a sub £10,000 compact car on the market in the UK, but no sign of that happening really. Sure, it would be a subject for comedians, but at that price people would buy it.

People make the mistake of assuming wage costs are consistent across China. It's like comparing a cleaners' wage in London docklands with a cleaner in Albania. Some provinces in China are very well developed with high wages. Many are not.

If you want Western level skills then you are in the Pearl River Delta.

However, its *more* expensive than operating in the UK + US, by a major margin. And to that youve got to account for the CCP interfering, IP theft risk and general hassle.

To get cheaper labour you need to move further and further out. Then all youll find are a bunch of TB riddled grandparents looking after the grandkids.
