Voice of Doom
Just posted this on another thread but it def deserves its own. Hugely significant. Unless they've taken the houses with them, of course.
shlomo
This number is not accurate, as I have a friend who deals with businesses near Finsbury Park, who told him lots of illegals Algerians/Moraccans have gone back home as they have come to the conclusion that they cannot make any money in the UK. So it is not just the documented workers the illegals are leaving as well.

Notting Hell
Presumably a majority leave this country via air (or rail) where each and every passport is scanned on departure. Why therefore are these figures estimates? While it may be hard to count everyone currently on the island accurately, it should be easy to calculate figures of people arriving and departing (the delta) and in real time. How is it possible for an island nation not to know how many people are here at any given time? I don't believe that this data is not available--someone has it and it is accurate. The powers that be know the number but this information is kept out of the public domain as deep down no one really cares

It will never go back to 2004 prices, the country is not uniform the NE will not go down much, the SE including London will probably go down 20%, the real crash will be in the price of flats some may down 50% but they will have a high service charge, and watch and wait security guards.
