Labour have suspended former leader uncle Jezza

Recommended Posts

Labour has suspended former leader Jeremy Corbyn after an inquiry found the party was "responsible for unlawful acts of harassment and discrimination" during his time in charge.

The UK's human rights watchdog also his office had "politically interfered" in the complaints process.

In a statement afterwards, Mr Corbyn said anti-Semitism within Labour had been "dramatically overstated".

Labour then said it was suspending him for a "failure to retract" his remarks.

The whole saga is a fake news.

Uncle Jezza is a lot of things but a racist or a deliberate facilitator of racists isn't one of them.

This whole thing is about Corbyn's pro Palestine position.

Oh well the right wing pro Israel people got what they wanted in the end

Corbyn is a scape goat, politically expendable.  He thrives in the wilderness so he doesn't care.

Winning the leadership vote essentially as a joke candidate to rub Millibands nose in it.  How could he expect loyalty as a leader when he had the most votes against his own leader?

He is a conviction politician that never had the benefit of a well run party apparatus to do the heavy lifting and taking on the Rabid Right print media.  His only beneficial function was to push the hard left back into the wilderness - all the youngster's singing 'Oh Jeremy Corbyn' will become cynical and now look for a centrist party to actually get things done.

Seems he thought along with others they couldn't be racist as they don't judge on skin colour.

Then went into a flurry of definitions yadda yadda.. and somehow forgot what the whole issue was.

If you keep banging on about israel and international banking conspiracies, sooner or late you end up sounding like some pretty unsavoury people.

The UK electorate wants someone who is bothered them, laying a few wreaths at the cenotaph rather than graves of the terrorists from Munich. Israel is a toxic subject best left alone. His concern was similar to that of the kennedy (US) who was stopped by a roadblock in belfast and told the squaddy to go home, the sqauddies reply was to point to the top of the hill and say "I was born there"

Corbyn tolerated hatred from some splinter groups of Labour against Jews.

Jews also have human rights.

It is valid decision to suspend Jezza so that he can go to pub and fishing in his retirement instead of being a fly disturbing a room.

I see him as the conviction politician people say he is.

His problem was that that led him to pick a side and back it to the hilt. He didn't adjust his position when he had the chance like most slimy politicians would have done. It's easy (and maybe fair) for stuff like that to be used against you.

And you've got to question the common sense of picking that particular hill to die on and it's relevance to the UK people.

Good. We will not tolerate anyone like him in our great and civilised society 🙂

That kneeling head of opposition was quick off the mark to suspend him though, fair play for that. Was almost hoping for the comrades to close ranks thus helping to secure another 5 more years for Boris ❤️ , but it's better for us win through skill and judgement rather than just facing someone who hates the UK (and by extension, it's voters).

Goes to show you there's no loyalty in politics either.

Their current leader would be no where without Corbyn having rapidly promoted him !

That'll teach those pikey socialists from trying to take over the party of the lower middle classes.

IMO it's plain to see he's being conveintly scapegoated as it ticks so many convenient boxes; depriving anyone in his party with any non-neo-con-******** conviction of a leader so aiding an unchallenged return to Tory-light, and being seen to address the dubious claims of anti-semitism in the party.

As is the political standard the irony is sickening; considering Corbyn is probably the most sincere, transparant and fair politician you'll find in an environment otherwise crammed with spivs, freeloaders, deviants and psychopaths.

All it really goes to show is how the current Labour party are just as viscious, morally-bankrupt and self-serving as the current incumbents. Utterly sickening but sadly not in the least bit surprising :(

Funny how Starmer sat in the Labour shadow cabinet without saying a word on this.

I doubt Jez is a real anti Semite, however he seemed keen to invite into (or enbolden existing members) the party anyone that was loudly anti-Tory, without looking too far into their other beliefs.

Could we see the Labour party split?
