Have a nice trip. This is very much of the government's making. They communicated unsubstantiated messages that public transport was unsafe and mandated the wearing of masks for passengers. Say i dont know number of non covid deaths or number of flu deaths in an average winter rather than just YOU WILL DIE IF YOU LEAVE HOME look 62 people died today!!!! Daily.. Just nuts. Now its.. Well you know... Life isnt risk free.. So yeah.. Great. Add in vested interests pushing the death narrative e.g some unions.. Agree.....when have spent many years of your life commuting already, constant consuming stuff and paying others to do what can do better yourself......and working to pay for a home you hardly spend any time in apart from sleep to repeat......when never get the chance to meet or get to know your community and neighborhood.....when have never had the time to drop kids at school and very rarely picked them up......when leave the house in winter months it is dark, return it is dark...... thousands of hours of time travelling will never get back totally wasted...... valuable time that could have spent with kids and will never get back gone......puff.
