karhu
This is getting all too familiar: http://news.monstersandcritics.com/busines...plans_rate_hike STOCKHOLM, Sweden (UPI) -- The new head of Sweden`s central bank says he expects to raise interest rates, The Local newspaper reported Tuesday.Stefan Ingves, recently appointed governor of the Riksbank, said Sweden`s high growth rate means that further interest rate rises are to be expected. He said on Monday that circumstances that led to the bank`s last rate rise in January have not changed. High growth and the threat of inflation were not the only factors that made rate rises likely, Ingves said. 'Household debt and house prices are also important factors, although they are not in any way decisive for this interest rate decision,' he said. The housing market is heading for a soft landing, Ingves predicted.
