How Quick Peak To Trough

Recommended Posts

The magnitude of peaks and troughs appears to have increased in each boom bust cycle over the last 50 years but so has the gradient. Is this increase in acceleration due to better information, media spin etc. ?

what does everyone think ?

Be carefull, most of the data i have seem that is historical enough has been VI Nationwide stuff, and given that the current data from them does not reflect the reality of the market this peak, then I dont expect it to be accurate for the past and the future, so i reckon the bottom may be passed by the time it is reflected in the nation wide figures, and even land registry figures ahave shown them self manipulatable, by holding back expensive properties to bump figures up later, and the lack of mix adjustment....Nose to the ground is the best thing to conclude from i feel.

What im saying is it has already been long for us cos most of us called it peak in summer 2004, and the Vis have not even acknowledged it in the mainstream yet.

Agreed. Although I'm thinking that the HPC will reach its low a hell of a lot quicker than the six years it took for the last due to the net, spin and information accessibility in general.
