There’s an interesting dynamic at play with regards to Dominic Cummings recent behaviour and a hard core group of Brexit supporters that I believe should be further examined and discussed. So this poll is asking for your opinion on his actions in light of your stance over Brexit.

I didn't see the response IDGAF.

It has NOTHING to do with whether an HPC or not.

Not really that interesting though is it?

He's my prediction: remainers will think he should go and brexiteers will think he should stay. Big deal. No new insights there.

It's a polarising issue. These incidents only amplify the division and provide something to reignite the same argument.

I also predict that if Gina Miller did the same then remainers would still treat her like the Messiah.

You shouldn’t project your own standards into others. If Gina did the same as Cummings I’d be just as outraged.

Re the Gina Miller sentence... you think that? I would say more likely the reaction would be incandescent rage at the betrayal. I  know I was with the Scottish CMO and the science chap oowozit, Ferguson I think.

From remainers? I don't think so. There would be some reason they could justify like maybe she couldn't get an Ocado delivery slot.

The Scottish CMO deserved that. It was her advice dished out to the public and she broke her own rules. Ditto with Ferguson, only he did it to get some lockdown fun. These were lockdown advocates and preachers. Far as i know Cummings never brought into the idea of lockdown and his reasons were, on the face of it, more legitimate than second home visiting or married woman bonking.

Then you're blind and deaf.  She and others like her can do no wrong for Remainers/Socialists.

Would you really? If you honestly believe you would then ok fair enough

Yes I would. I particularly dislike liars and rule breakers so anyone thinking and acting for themselves above the law of others. Which is probably why I disliked the way the EU referendum was run.

I dislike liars and I decided the EU referendum was invalid. Just because.  Also, I knew the rules before the referendum but I lost. So...

Before I vote, if I decide later to change my mind, are we able to have a 2nd poll?

Is this binding too?

It's a bit like the Major govt preaching family values and then all having affairs. Just political hypocricy. I think he's unsackable without Boris going too.

Maybe Cummings should be sacked three-and-a-half years later, with a one year transitional period?

Agreed. All those lies about interest rates going up and Obama pushing the UK to the back of the queue. Turns out interest rates were dropped and Obama was out a few months later and would never have had any power over a trade deal. Guess it's different though when remainers do it. I'll get back in my box.

In my opinion, Obama's involvement was what tipped the balance toward Leave. It was a massive miscalculation by Cameron to involve him.

That's what's swayed me, I  vote for the worst outcome always.

Where are the moderators? This thread belongs in the "off topic" section.

This forum is being turned into a political commentary forum.

That often happens on HPC.

Popular and topical threads are left on the main forum for a while where they are most visible.

What's the harm in that?
