Dominic Cummings plans to resign when Brexit is done, Daily Mail reports

PUBLISHED: 10:40 29 May 2020 | UPDATED: 10:50 29 May 2020

Don't believe it. It's a puff piece to attempt to take the heat out of people's current utter disgust and outrage.

So Brexit is the most important issue it seems.  Everything else is a side show.

COVID-19 may just be around for a year or two as a major factor. Brexit is for the long term.

Still after 51 pages Cummings may well be going early next year and you still aren't happy. Just no pleasing some people!

His priority was always Brexit - and Brexit (and Corbyn) is the main reason we have a Tory government with a majority of 80. And we will have a Tory government for four years until 2024 - even if twitter or petition signers or the Guardian or the Mirror might not like it they can't change that as we had an election six months ago.

I doubt we'll have Boris as PM until 2024 though.

Cummings is going nowhere. That puff piece about him moving on in 6 months time is just an attempt to calm the current outrage and fury enough to keep him in office. Interesting to see that it's the dumb Cummings fanbois who have fallen for it.

993,197 have signed

Almost 1 million signatures in 7 days.  This is going to run and run.

1 million? That is pathetic, a tiny wee-low number.

There was a petition last year, or maybe the year before that, (or was it 2016?) that got up to 5 million IIRC. That reminds me, must check how that went.

Cummings' instructions to his troops is to use sarcasm and false laughter wherever possible.

Yes indeed and I notice after being interviewed by Naga Munchymunchy the other morning Handlecock actually winked at her...…. it was cringey as hell.

Its just an appeal to Leavers to let him hang on. Apparently a majority of Leavers want him to go.

They are laughing in the plebeian's faces. It's clear that some on here enjoy being blatently lied to and overtly laughed at.

Annoying sarcasm is also the tool used by his supporters on this forum. Take a look, they're all at it, one only a few posts up.

Plans being drawn up to make sure big landowners and elites don't lose their EU slipper farm subs. Hopefully we can kick the tax burden down to the proles (probably another stealthy one - VAT to 22% maybe).

Very well. Why does the money have to go from proles to Brussels and then back to the top when for a thousand of years they flowed directly from proles to the top? We don't need the EU to do this.

Doubt that very much. With 500,000 dead and rising to gain temporary herd immunity then people will be staying indoors anyway from fear of contagion.

Some people I guess imagine the monty python "bring out your dead" scene.. Its 7 months in, and it's just not that bad

How widespread are such views among the old money?

What ever happened to Prince Andrew? has he been extradited to the USA yet?... and has her grandson chosen to pay back the £3.5m renovation bill yet? (perhaps from the £100m+ inheritance he got)

How anyone still goes for the royalty line is beyond me. Like the weird deference to priests, was quaint for a time being but seems unhinged once it becomes known they are a bunch of wrong-uns.
