Property businesses plead for longer rates holiday

Recommended Posts

This made me cross, looks like various property businesses are looking for more relief.  https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://amp.ft.com/content/faa3bd43-296a-4281-bb4d-4b5e9a18dd34&ved=2ahUKEwjK1tW31p3pAhVsVBUIHVnkBykQFjAAegQIARAC&usg=AOvVaw2wtHByZdZg0NVq5y1zMZt3&ampcf=1

I'd say the shared space business models are dead!!!

Don't their tenants actually pay the rates.

No need to cut the rates - cut the rents and then their tenants can pay the rates.

Time to give something back - after all much of our landowners only got the land as they were chummy with Henry VIII or Charles II (normally via their mistresses illegitimate kids!).
