Us Stockbrokers For Uk Residents?

Recommended Posts

Are there any US stockbrokers that a UK resident can open an account with?

It amazing how much lower commission charges can be with some of them, but I haven't so far been able to find any that will open accounts for non-US residents.

Drbubb, do you deal with any brokers outside the UK?

Many thanks for any pointers :)

Charles Schwab do but you do not get the ultra low commissions. Normally $29.95 dropping to 19.95 per trade or per 1000 shares bought. Its drops to the 19.95 if you trade so many times in any qtr.

I have a US etrade account that I set up years ago, but no UK etrade account: I never used it because they couldn't tell me how to transfer money into the damn thing!

Probably setting up a UK etrade account soon, so I may actually use the US one... gotta be cheaper than the US account I have now for stock options.
