We load businesses with too many responsibilities

Recommended Posts

Why does a business:

  • responsible for setting up pension for people
  • complete financials for companies house (unlike Ireland)
  • responsible for paying salaries when people are not working (corona virus)
  • responsible for occupational health problems
  • responsible for health and safety training
  • have to apply for exemptions for expenses - why isn't it automatic?
  • complicated payroll

Companies should have barely any responsibilities. Anyone should be able to start a company and trade without onerous requirements. Can you think of more responsibilities of a business that they should not be doing. I propose a skeleton umbrella company funded by government that people can use as their umbrella company for employing people easily.

Employing people is a headache.
