Political persecution of Julian Assange

Craig Murray was in the court at yesterday's proceedings. He has done a service to journalism with this article, even though he wasn't given press credentials. It will take a few minutes to read. This is Craig's blog.

This is the full text of the defence submission, and covers all the argumentative points raised by those here who refuse to say why they won't condemn  this political persecution.

Please publish far and wide, the media do not seem interested in publishing the proceedings from this show trial.

This is shocking when you consider how an adverse ruling allowing Julian to be extradited will do more than merely curtail press freedom to report the crimes of governments, it will effectively stop them. It's the worst example of turkeys voting for christmas I can remember..._
