Empire Of Debt

Today I have just got from the local library Empire Of Debt by Bill Bonner and Addison Wiggin.I have only just dipped into it but I think this could be a well scary read.Any folks here read it?

Yep...got it from play.com a while back. Most of the book is a historical look at empires and the main thesis is a comparison between the roman empire (forced subject countries to pay for the empire and therefore had a free ride) and the US (takes a different route and borrows the money to run the empire, which may well not be paid back, and will spoil everyones pensions and the world economy)

Quite a boring book I thought. But got better at the end.
