The Japanese Have $12 Trillion To Spend

Recommended Posts

This is amazing. What does this mean?

In the American system one billion is 1000000000 and a trillion is 1000000000000

so one trillion is one thousand times one billion. So they have $12,000000000000 to spend.

Blimey.

One hypothesis is that they along with Chinese, Russians will shift a chunk into precious metals another could be inflation on a grand scale.

To put $12 Trillion into perspective there is only $6 Billion in silver above ground. That means they could buy the worlds total silver supplies 2000 times over. Or put another way if they bough it all they would still have 11994000000000 left.

In fact there isn't even $6 Billion in silver anyway as I just bought another 50kg (c1500 Oz) to add to my collection.

It means the Japanese and Chinese pretty much own America .....

But long term have America got enough of anything that they want? If not maybe they will on mass just decide to relieve them of anything of perceived value. Or to stop them America may simply inflate away the value of those foreign dollars

Interesting years ahead.

Maybe the Chinese and Japs may go after US property.

How better to protect yourself from these investors than inflate property prices???

the saudi's own a big chunk of america!!!...the japs are consumers at heart and will become so again....doesn't mean america will continue the way it has.

That is certainly an option. They could buy up america and become dominant landlords. Would be interesting to see!
