Alternative investment - buy2letcars.com

Saw this on the telly this am. Can't believe my eyes. I thought this sort of thing was in the past.

Instead of investing in an ISA you put your hard-earned in to a company letting people lease cars.

Invest £98k and get 11% over 3 years.

What could go wrong?

I occasionally hang out on a P2P lending forum, Many of the people on there have sold off all their stakes in loans on things like this. Partially because of brexit, And partially because the default rate is so high with the platforms being no good at collecting the debts.

Give them credit I don't think they'd buy into this at that level of interest given the inherent risk of the borrowers/the questionable value of the used cars.

Anyone dim enough to fall for this should be locked up for their own good. After 3 years the asset value of the cars will be about half the purchase price while the buyer would have barely covered the VAT.
