As long as it will impact house prices extremely negatively then that'll do me.

Interest rates will go to 0% and there will be £100 billion of QE. What do you think will happen to house prices?

They are going to do that either way.

In or out house prices will be fiddled until the bitter end.....I actually think if we had 90's affordability we would have voted to stay in.

There is no point telling the plebs its all supply and demand (as opposed to credit) and then complaining if they in the most basic fashion come to the conclusion less supply of people = higher wages and less people = lower rents and house prices.

That's when all the financial ******** backfires.

Im not sure whether Carney has stated this - he should do though as part of the warnings.

Uncontrolled mass immigration was responsible for > 80% of the UK's population increase 2001-2016 (an estimated 5.4 of 6.6 million individuals).

Without this monstrous iniquity there would be no housing shortage in this country and every likelihood that affordability would have reverted to its pre-bubble mean.

And what makes you think that, after Brexit, controlled mass immigration won't continue to double year on year like it is currently?

You think Mogg, Gove, Johnson etc will change their spots and resist the lobbying from 'Industry' for more and more young, educated, cheap people who are far more pushy and desperate than any from the EU?

You fail to see the point. A vote for brexit was a vote for this to end.

If our "leaders" continue to ignore it then that's up to them.

Please don't try and say that actually making this point had no merit in itself. It did.

That's official figures. Reality will be even larger. By a long way.

As for the story. Let's look at the final paragraph in the BBC version.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45301966

"We do get horses from further afield than France and Ireland to compete in our races and we have an established procedure in place to deal with those countries."

So the story literally ends with the same people complaining admitting it's a complete non story.

Utterly incredible ******** scare mongering of the highest degree.

No deal Brexit could cause national SPERM shortage, government documents warn

A no deal Brexit could slow the flow of Danish semen into the UK

A no deal Brexit could cause a national shortage of sperm, Government documents have warned.

It means people trying to conceive a child could be hit by delayes.

Danish semen made up almost half of all non-British male reproductive material imported to the UK in 2017, the paper from the Department of Health and Social Care revealed.

Some 3,000 samples from the Scandinavian nation were brought in, alongside a small number from other EU states, plus 4,000 from the United States. It is mainly bought from commercial sperm banks.

No they are not.

They've raised interest rates twice and stopped QE. This would be a reversal of the process of normalisation.

The Ultras won't be in charge post-Brexit; Corbyn will. The UK's last and only hope of avoiding national bankruptcy.

He's moved somewhat re. immigration in the last two years. He will need to move further if the country is to be saved.

https://www.newstatesman.com/politics/staggers/2017/07/jeremy-corbyn-wholesale-eu-immigration-has-destroyed-conditions-british

Quote

Laying out the case for leaving the single market, Corbyn used language we have rarely heard from him - blaming immigration for harming the lives of British workers.

The Labour leader said that after leaving the EU, there would still be European workers in Britain and vice versa. He added: "What there wouldn't be is the wholesale importation of underpaid workers from central Europe in order to destroy conditions, particularly in the construction industry."

Corbyn said he would prevent agencies from advertising jobs in central Europe - asking them to "advertise in the locality first". This idea draws on the "Preston model" adopted by that local authority, of trying to prioritise local suppliers for public sector contracts. The rules of the EU prevent this approach, seeing it as discrimination.

In the future, foreign workers would "come here on the basis of the jobs available and their skill sets to go with it. What we wouldn't allow is this practice by agencies, who are quite disgraceful they way they do it - recruit a workforce, low paid - and bring them here in order to dismiss an existing workforce in the construction industry, then pay them low wages. It's appalling. And the only people who benefit are the companies."
