20% off another "Penthouse" on "Riverside Drive" blah blah blah..this time in Solihull.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/85507870#/

TBF it looks OK to me but still too much for what it is.

Recently added to RM with recent drops and judging by the decor it may be a probate property.

It is number 78 and was bought for £475k in APR 2005...so a loss in real terms there about to be realised no doubt.

Solihull; little terraced house, 28% drop from 300k to 215k. Recent drops since late August, there is no previous sale data for this house (No 77); that with the material state would indicate that it is a probate house that has been recently part renovated...some new carpets, new kitchen/bathroom and the back garden has been cleared and laid to grass.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/96620351#/

Nice little house but expect more drops IMHO...sell for 180Kish? Would have done me fine between marriages!

20% off "Village Farm" in the Vale of Glamorgan, well overdue another drop.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/63280873#/

Last sold in Sept 2003 for £855k...so not doing so good! Even if it does go for 1M, it will be a 145k (16%) profit over 17 years.

I would have...seeing that quite a lot now. If it sell for that its a 10% nominal loss there and then.

Here it is on RM for those who want to follow on there....https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/84507592#/

Due another 25k drop before xmas IMPO. That will be 60k down from purchase to give 16.6% nominal loss since 2016...disaster! Might even be worse than that.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

I have been searching a 3 mile radius of Littleton in Surrey for a while today (totally random selection from the drop down menu). This encompasses Runnymede and Shepperton. Although there is just the one 20% plus drop, there are many many other drops...but for the first time I have noticed virtually NO PRICE HIKES. This is different to other places over the past few months.

Usually there are a few idiots who think that a minor increase is in order, but not here.

Significant???

20% off of a 2 bed flat Bromley London BR1. Looking at the periodicity of these recent reductions we should see another reduction in the 100's of kilo pounds fairly soon.

21.5% off of a 2 bed flat in London SE12...recent drops. Looks good until you see the exterior but that said it would have done the single Roman Roady a few decades back.

21.5% off of a 1 bed retirement flat in SE12...due another drop IMPO...should dip below 100k in the new year since this type of property seems to be taking the biggest hammering ATM.

26% off a 3 bed flat on the main Shooters Hill road in Blackheath London SE3 7HS. Nice area but we may wait a while for another drop.

I am assuming that the number is 63 (from photo) split into flats. The historical data is difficult to read since this house number doesnt divulge the number of bedrooms in each historical record. This property looks to be occupying the majority of the ground floor with the front door and two bay windows so I cant see there being any larger flats in this complex...unless the upper flat occupies the next two floors.

The most expensive flat is Flat 1 sold in Dec 2015 for £995k...is this it...???? Hell of a loss if so!

Other possibilities are:-

  • Flat 4 (500k in Dec 2018),
  • Flat 3 (390k in Apr 2012),
  • Plain old number 63 (430k in Oct 2012); its most probably this flat.

20% off a 3 bed first floor flat on the main Shooters Hill road in Blackheath London SE3 7BG. It looks to be Number 44 (from several years of Google earth entries) and there are two historical entries from 2014 and 2001. The 2014 entry was sold for 470k in Mar 2014...again its difficult to see if this is it.
