Hey, that's hilarious. I remember listing to the BBC World Service at the initial time of the Skripal poisoning, and the subject was

" What can we in the United Kingdom do to punish Russia and show them that this kind of behaviour is utterly unacceptable ?"

The BBC journalist was interviewing some economist talking head, and suggested that one way might be to prohibit Russians from buying property in London, or at least make it much much tougher to do so unless the origin of the funding was completely clear. The economist riposted that this kind of measure would " immediately tank London's real estate market," and would be akin to Britain cutting off its own nose to spite its face.

The amazing thing was how instantly the BBC journalist accepted this argument, without the slightest demur, the conversation went onto other measures, like, say, expelling Russian diplomats.

Incredible how deep the notion that HPI is good for Britain has become in certain circles.

I am sure there must be certain things some can and will get away with when others definitely can't or wouldn't want to.......just got to go looking for it, not always easy to see?.......for some they would rather not see it, can't see it, it isn't happening, it isn't there?😉

That's 3 articles being critical of housing in 3 days from the daily mail.... Maybe, just maybe the new editor is changing tact.

Politicians are like the on circuit comedians, they will 100% attack easy targets that won't fight back and barely do anything wrong, your Trumps and Boris for example, but they won't go anywhere near Islam.

There are endless examples of the rich Russians getting matey with our politicians. There is one that springs to mind who I would love to be found out who shall we say was quite close to Tony Blair. There  are £Billion's in dirty money, people are just too afraid to dig a little deeper

I think they've all just been seeing the wind of change is (finally) changing.  When I first started reading HPC it was the only refuge of a sane voice in the madness.  Now a lot of the views on here are (almost) mainstream and that's a massive, massive shift in public opinion that any media outlet would be foolish to ignore.  Unless of course you are the BBC and you just make up your own news as though the rest of the population doesn't even exist.
