Penny, 47, believes the only explanation can be the Leave vote.

Clearly the only possible explanation.. even if they knocked the asking price down to a tenner I bet it still wouldn't sell.

My heart bleeds for the poor souls...

North London????

Where the nearest tube?

Simple rule for these idiot lotteries - they have 1 year to sell tickets. Then the raffle goes ahead no matter how many tickets have been sold.

Im hoping the gambling comission starts enforcing this soon.

“The hike in stamp duty hasn’t helped – it almost stopped me in my tracks when I recently invested in an apartment just down the road from our new Essex home.”

They have a 16 bed mansion and still want to buy up even more living space they don't need or could possibly use?

Also a 10 bed they bought for £4.65m in 2013 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3683078/Rod-Stewart-puts-7-1million-Essex-mansion-sale-comes-six-bedrooms-boating-lake-swimming-pool-size-football-pitch.html

That article mentions the poor man paid £1.2m in 1986 for the house he is unable to sell 'due to Brexit'

I just took a huge dookie which won’t flush so I’m trying to sell it but can’t.

I’m only asking £24.99 for it (collection only) but because of brexit I’m stuck with it.

seventeen million fcking racists are making my life a misery right about now

“We can’t sell our old place in Essex, The Woodhouse, despite its unique architecture and strong historical links.

Their old place.  That mansion.

I was confused for a moment as Rod was in the news in 2017 with his planning permission battle to get a really large swimming pool at his home for his son, but I guess that's at one of their other mansions.

Quote

21 September 2017

SIR Rod Stewart has won a battle to tackle a great crested newt problem at his mansion so he can build a large swimming pool for his son. The rocker was granted permission earlier this year to build the pool for 11-year-old son Alastair who has shown great promise as a swimmer and has already won a host of competitions.

But the development was threatened after ecological surveys of the site in the gardens at Sir Rod’s Grade II-listed Durrington House in Harlow, Essex, discovered the presence of newts.

Bad 'n' Ruin' - not.   Only thing I find hard to accept and recognise, is the difference between winners and losers in housing financialisation.   Rod's problem, and that of other sellers, of selling a 2nd mansion? Is this what some mean by that HPC means "we all suffer" when people wanting just better value for a modest family home say they would like lower prices and see the BTLers edged out.

Would laugh at anyone wanting to maintain and upkeep expensive homes like that, what a huge costly responsibility.....cry, because a big headache, the only advice to give would be drop the price 'cause the cost is not in the buying it, it is in the ongoing running of it......what a tie, only a few would be prepared to undertake.😉
