Clydesdale Bank Ups the Mortgage stakes - x5.5 Salary

Clearly a lack of buyers at these prices, or too many applicants getting knocked back on current LTI criteria. Go to higher LTI  - MMR kicks in and says payments too high, so then the mortgage term has to be increased until computer says yes...

Well thats a very out dated view of earnigns by professions, as well as earning multiples.

Bar DRs, the others all dont earn as much as they used to.

'You will only be considered for the mortgage if your profession is one on the list and you're already earning £40,000 - almost double the average salary in the UK.

So that's accountants, architects, barristers, charted surveyors, dentists, medical doctors, pharmacists, pilots, solicitors and vets.

You'll also need to have been qualified for five years or more.'
