OT: The HPC Pet Thread

Recommended Posts

Hi, everyone! I created this thread for us to show off our furry household pets. Mine is taking care of our Pomeranian, Jagger. Whenever I come home to this cuddly fella, I'm greeted with a happy lick on my feet and a friendly bark. I raised him since he was a pup. We usually play catch in our backyard during my days off (though we had to secure a dog fence, just so he wouldn’t stray far from our yard, another way to keep him off our neighbor's yard too). Overall, he’s a very loyal companion. How about yours? What are your pets at home?

May as well turn this thread into something potentially useful then

I have an Airedale (king of the Terrier's), he's an elder statesman these days and is suffering from an auto immune skin condition around his eyes. The vets have previously tried steriods and various creams and potions as well as referred us to specialists with only very limited results.

Suggestions very welcome, thanks

Have just tried to upload a pic of my very new pet, but alas file is too big.

He is a prehistoric tortoise cast in bronze, so I suppose wouldn't count anyway.  He's about 16 inches long nose to tail and has sort of stegosaurus-ish spikes on his shell and down his tail, so I have named him Spike O'Saurus.

He seems quite happy in the garden, but I have just moved him since I think he was making the birds too nervous to eat the dried mealworms Mr B put out yesterday.

Edit: here he is, kindly reduced by Mr B.

Is he not a handsome chap?
