Minimum tenancy consultation

Recommended Posts

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-44671094

”A minimum tenancy term of three years would be introduced under government proposals to give people renting homes in England more security.

snip

A consultation on the minimum tenancy term will run until the end of the August.”

I had a look on the consultation page but couldn’t see it yet. It appears to be quite a short timescale (and over the summer ‘hols’) so clearly they [gov] want to get moving re the legislative timetable. We’ll see what’s in the consultation!

Not before time, seen the usual parade of parasites arguing against it on the news.

It's hard not to laugh,as the parasites can't see the politcal aiming marker on their backs.

I would love to know what Germany and Northern Europe tenancy laws are like.

The Tenants have a lot more rights i think that is the way of progress.

Here is the Consultation:

Quote

As part of its continuing commitment to give more security to renters, an 8-week consultation on the plan has been published, specifically looking at overcoming the barriers to landlords offering longer tenancies.

Please everyone, contribute to the consultation - very important to get our views across.
