How is it possible that a £25 million+ building project didnt have a fire alarm setup?

Ooh public sector. Or worse, regional devolved government public sector where peopje are hired for being in cliques rather than being able.

A converted warehouse I go to for life drawings on the edge of downtown Bristol and they got tons upon tons of wood and fabric piled up with  little regard for fire safety.

Also a couple of years back in Oaklands, California another bohemenium type warehouse similar to the Glasgow venue burned down, with much more tragic results (nearly 40 people roasted and suffocated to death).

A relative of mine has just graduated from Glasgow School of Art. She'd never set foot in the building that's just burnt down again as it wasn't finished.

I don't think it can have been the students/lax storage of paintings.
