warrior88
Extract: On a regional basis, London continued to be the region with the highest average house price at £485,000, followed by the South East and the East of England, which stood at £325,000 and £286,000 respectively. The lowest average price continued to be in the North East at £130,000.
Jabbabhoy
cheers guys, does anyone have the breakdown report of London boroughs?
FabulousSophie
Even London was up quite significantly at 2.4% month on month.
warrior88
Its quite interesting. I am seeing falls in flat prices throughout zone 1/2. House prices currently deflating only in zone 1 not much impact in zone 2 but it would be interesting how it plays out.

Doner Kebab
What a fakin country. Roll on the summer holidays and autumn and a reversal of these numbers. Shirley all the new builds are pushing up average prices?
FabulousSophie
Well at least the BoE cannot use falling house prices as an excuse not to raise interest rates. But I suppose they will probably instead see fear of falling house prices as a reason not to raise.

Most Rightmove London listings now are reductions. Word of mouth is absolutely out of the bag, as seen on facebook, mumsnet and moneysavingexpert. I'll take this with a big pinch of salt and bearing in mind the long delay implicit in their methodology.

GettingBored
Damn, I was expecting a fall. I think we could end up seeing a larger than expected disparity between these figures and the Halifax/Nationwide ones. Round my way the only stuff selling seems to be the top end properties, and I presume a lot of them are cash buyers.

Land Registry says prices are up, which will sellers want/choose to believe?
