I think Corbyn will be a disaster, Off the top of my head I cannot think of one Labour politician when I see them on TV I stop and listen to what they say, I cannot think of one that I even like. It's too late as far as I am concerned to convince the present Tories that they just are doing nothing for average or even above average workers under 40, and what I find even more annoying is them trying to con me that they are. The help to bail banks and profit builders scheme was receiving some bad press pre-election but then Labour put an extension to it, in their manifesto. Not sure it will change much though, as I guess most heavily OO places are heavily tory. More renters in the cities will just mean greater gains for Labour in those areas. Exactly my feelings. I'm just want to burn it all. Hard work isn't rewarded, it's farmed. Corbyn's view of politics is great for bumper stickers but won't work. The reason (forgotten by many) for NuLabour was to show Labour could use power without reverting to 'socialist' policies. PFI, low interest rates, tax relief for BTL were all sops to the elite to keep them on side. The pain of HPI wasn't so much due to incompetence of NuLabour (although it cant be avoided), but the price paid by the UK to avoid the wailing from the Daily Mail brigade. The tories, long long ago, represented new money - earned form enterprise opposed to the landed gentry taking rents. Now they are the establishment, perhaps it is time for a new 'Enterprise' party. I want them to see through Brexit (even though it wont actually happen - the effect will be too dramatic on the party that implements it), to see through the impending downturn, to be there as the plates stop spinning. Patience is required. If Labour take over in the near future, they will take the hit. Possibly they will cause the plates to stop spinning faster, I'm not sure. But the tories deserve to reap the results of recent policy (though of course its actually the everyday folk who really reap the "rewards"). When they lie to my face with statements like this (from the above article) - “The Government remains determined to restore the dream of home-ownership to even more people, which it is doing through schemes like Help to Buy and by cutting stamp duty.” It just pisses me off even more. I damn full well know that both these policies are aimed at ramping up asset prices as bribes for your asset rich boomer base, so not only do I hate your guts for the ramping, but your lying to me means that I can also never ever trust a word that comes out of your mouths. So even if at some point you do start being truthful with me its going to be immediately discounted as lies anyway. I think the same goes for the vast majority of people under the age of 45.
