Has anyone had a bill from w h brown for estate agent  services when they have no contract with them?

Well, in principle, if you' ask them (Hunters that is) to do something verbally then there can still be a contract (did you?) but, as Sam Goldwyn might have said, it's not worth the paper it's written on. What work is it that they think you've asked Hunters to do?
