Countrywide share price

Recommended Posts

£200m of debt on the balance sheet makes it impossible to shrink the overextended business hence a deeply discounted rights issue highly likely to come shortly. And the more the share price falls, the more new shares which will only drive down the share price further. Death spiral...

No wonder they can't find a new CEO to take this hospital pass. Career suicide.

Hmm. What might have happened this afternoon today to cause that?!

I received this email from them today (anonymised in case I'm not allowed to do this)

From: XX@Countrywide.co.uk>
Sent: 28 February 2018 15:09
Subject: Taylors Estate Agents

Good Afternoon

I hope this e-mail finds you well?

Excuse my direct approach but you were previously registered with us looking for property.

The reason for my e-mail is we are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic people to work for Taylors Estate Agents in our busy <town removed> office.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in a job working for the largest Estate Agents in <town removed> then please let me know and we can have a chat.

Once again, apologies for my direct approach but let me know if you’d be interested or please pass my details on to anyone you know who may be interested.

Kind Regards

Down approx 88% from peak.

Can they survive the next down turn ?

So whats your price target on this top tip?

Purple bricks now at 322, was trading at 422 5 days ago. A fall of 24% in 5 days.

Things are getting interesting for foxtons, countrywide and purple bricks.

CW are going 'back to basics'

Overvaluing property to win the instruction, failing to then sell anything and gouging tenants through made up fees to make up the shortfall?

Anyone know which are the best shares to short if you’re bearish on hair gel and cheap suits?

Might as well ignore Foxton and Countrywide....both down around 90%...you've missed the boat there.

Anyone any thoughts on rightmove ?
