How Do You Get Gold On Big Charts?

Recommended Posts

I use Big Charts to watch stock indices but I would love to be able to get Gold and NYMEX Crude on there too. I didn't think it was possible but DrBubb has posted a Big Charts chart for gold in another thread. How do I do it?

I use '38099901' which is the morning fix, but I'm sure there must be other ways...

Thanks! What exactly does 'morning fix' mean? And do you know a way of getting NYMEX Crude and other commodities?

You could look at GLD, the gold ETF. It trades at a slight discount to 1/10th an ounce.

Cheers. I've found some other charting sites that do all the commodities I'm interested in but I was just wondering if there's a way of getting them on Big Charts as I find them particularly easy to look at.

You can get futures charts here:

http://www.futuresource.com/charts/charts....edium&b=bar&st=

The link is gold but you will be able to figure out how to get the oil charts easily... or whatever commodity you want to look at.

Yeah, they're great. I'm using them already. I'm just not sure what the time-delay is on them. Big Charts are actually up to the minute for US indices so I wondered if they'd do up to the minute commodities too. I also like the fact that Big Charts are so... er... Big, but the Futuresource ones come a close second and are actually more editable than Big Charts.
