It is the first time since the summer of 2016 that prices have declined in two consecutive months. LOL! The first two lines based upon the points I fed them. Good work rant! rantnrave
If you have any doubt about 1) how passionate British people are about house prices and 2) how confused they get by the subject, read the comments section on that BBC article... Tulip_mania
No info on how many mortgages the Halifax issued to get to this number, is the average on n= 100, 1000 or 10000. If nominal value holds steady then nothing negative until August, however, the seasonally adjusted indices may begin to get interesting in a couple of months. It always has been. Those that can't afford to buy are waiting for a 75% drop.Trouble is, those that can afford are in a better position to exploit it if it happened. The trend is UP. There may be adjustments on 10, 20, 30 year timescales but the trend is ALLWAYS UP."

A third of everything
Please report responsibly bleats comment no. 30 as he can't wrap his tiny mind around the fact there are two separate reports. The stupidity of half those comments is unreal. The fact that prices had risen on average over 10 months prior to the last 2 months falls doesn't now mean they are falling apparently. No wonder every shithole house I've viewed has a wooden cladded kitchen as so many morons are stuck in a time warp desperately clinging onto the past
