An article in Private Eye I spotted today (attached). Credit to Ian Hislop and his team, they are bang on the mark when it comes to the housing crisis.

I favour option 2! :)

I loved the front page a while back with camoron and osbo ..discussing brexit..it could cause WW3, no worse than that ..house prices might fall...

Because governments don't "build houses", but they can very easily (mis)use tax payer's money. Even if the government could "build houses" they would still use private sector firms to do the building, which would probably involve some type of PFI  initiative, so back to square one.
