Buckinghamshire market

Recommended Posts

I popped into a local EA office and had a chat to the sad and lonely agent there. Bearing in mind that they are not known as being particularly truthful this is what he said

Me " I saw a property on the market (named the street) with you in the summer but it's no longer advertised - did it sell in the end?"

EA - No they took it off the market and will probably put it back on next year"

Me - " so they didn't need to sell it then?"

EA - "they want to move and will probably rent it out until next year"

In the summer I saw a few local houses on the market and then disappearing. My assumption was that they would wait until the Autumn and then try again. Not seeing any of them advertised now. I've set up a search for the rental market now to see if this is true.

Two properties close to me still have "for sale" signs on them. Both are listed with multiple agents. Price has been reduced by 5% in both cases but asking price still ridiculous.
