Residents fury over expensive 'first time buyer' homes

Recommended Posts

No problem - 'Help to Buy' will make it possible for FTBs to put themselves on the hook for a cool half mil.

Alternatively, raise interest rates and let the free market sort things out.

Any new builds round my way are advertised on Rightmove with blurb about the town and transport options to get to London. Clearly they're not looking at local people being able to afford the prices...

Don't know what they're moaning about a lousy half million, just get a pay rise innit.

No-one in their right mind wants to live in Bracknell anyway so they're being saved from themselves and should be grateful they can't afford them:D

I member of my family once cited high house prices as a reason to buy. I explained that I wasn't going to buy because the house prices where so high, he replied that the higher the price of the house the more profit you would make.
