Are BTLrs changing their focus North?

Recommended Posts

Not me, they answer back more in my experience, right jumped up little so and sos with ideas way above their stations. I much prefer the immigrant population in the south or the working couples who don't have time to think let alone question the cheeky rent rises I bang in once they're nice and settled. Steer clear of the north with a bargepole is my advice for all wannabe landlords. I should charge for this, gold dust trust me.

I put up a thread about this a few months ago. A financial advisor was trying to get me to join a BTL club, raving about the "yields" to be had up North. I pointed out that he was an idiot, being taken in by idiots. He ended up agreeing with me...I think he just wants my business.

People replied to that thread saying the Northern areas they lived in prices were rising, houses selling quick. I did overhear a woman with a Manchester accent back in March saying how fast houses on her road were selling, but a lot has changed since then.

I think North was the last rush for the BTL vultures.
