I'm based near Hampton Court and I've noticed a few sticking then having reductions, then sticking again etc. The flat I rent was up for sale last year as the owner was going to live overseas with her new partner. Started at £750K, then £725K, then £695K, not one viewing. Up for rent at £2250, £2150, £1950 and I took it when it dropped to £1850. It is on a riverside plot and even has a mooring (whatever that is ) but £750K?? :D:D:D:D

Sentiment certainly is changing now we just need an event that will focus the minds of the agents and the sellers.

The asking prices I see listed are still pretty insane, 2007 * 2 now in Northants, I've no idea who would see any value in buying any of this now.

As soon as something changes, like FLS/Term funding being scrapped prices will just crumble.

It's time for HPCers to put the boot in and start throwing in the odd comment like, "I hear prices are starting to collapse", "have a look on google the MSM are all over it"...

'tis true I feel, I have been looking around my area in Surrey for the last 14 months and there are reductions in many cases and property is just hanging around.

This one has just had a 23% reduction , more to come around here hopefully.

I've been keeping an eye on places I know in Berkshire and I think  we're on a bit of a 2nd leg down already.  The first place (of the ones I look at ) was Sandhurst followed by Crowthorne and then Wokingham.  Last time I looked after being flatish for a month there was another round of reductions in Sandhurst:DIt seems when one reduces then more follow and then all similar properties are around the same price.........for a while..........until one breaks ranks.........then we're off again:D
