I live 2 miles from that property, I drive past them all the time, characterless and depressing in my opinion. Give me an Edwardian Villa over that any time, and at a 10th of the price.

I don't know as much as you guys do about property. I haven't ever owned one. But that looks to me like new-build, the type that has fake brick prefabricated facades, with few or no real bricks and mortar that gives a house a sense of solidity and character. I've seen that type of house being put up, I won't call it 'built', in a few days.

Yes, characterless and depressing. I wouldn't buy it for a tenth of the price.

i know elmbridge well.

the property price history threw me a bit for the road , but i just worked out the old house wa bought for 2.6m and resold for 7ish million.

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/property-65828198.html

not the same house but same road.

some mug has lost millions i can assure you that if they paid 7m quid for it.  mega profit for the developer though.

Have the got ant twigs, that's the real question?

How can these "experts" value a place so wrong?

I'd suggested they are just lying cheating self serving shysters, but what do I know
