100 tenants a day lose homes as rising rents and benefit freeze hit

Recommended Posts

Quote

A record number of renters are being evicted from their homes, with more than 100 tenants a day losing the roof over their head, according to a shocking analysis of the nation’s housing crisis. The spiralling costs of renting a property and a long-running freeze to housing benefit are being blamed for the rising number of evictions among Britain’s growing army of tenants. Guardian

And that's it for massive rent rises by BTL landlords.

Look I'm sorry but how are BTL landlords meant to sit at home and ponce off the working people if they have all run out of money.. it's not fair.. ?

How dare they not give over all their wages working 70 hours a week to pay for BTL landlords holidays to barbados and new Mercedes..

Noticeable how the Guardian's picture shows a middle class-looking, indigenous-looking woman with just two non chavvy looking kids.  They couldn't have a chavvy-looking white mother with several, or any 'person of colour' ditto, let alone an obviously immigrant family with 5 kids.

Heaven forbid that they attract any 'feckless sponger' or anti-immigrant comments.

I'm sure they'll get those comments anyway, no need to "attract" them.
