And they think they have overvaluation problems :D

Houston at -13% is reckoned to be cheap

Most of Texas is relatively cheap.

Property taxes (rates) of around 3% of house & land valuation per year might be a factor. Let's see, on a 240K semi that's 600 a month :o .

I lived in Texas from 1993-96 and bought a stunning house for $139,000 and paid $4400 a year in taxes!!!! The place to live for cheap houses, beautiful scenery (TX is flat and mostly ugly) and very low taxes is North Carolina. Might move there if we don't get a HPC in the UK this year!
