Whoever put those blue tiles in the bathroom should be horsewhipped.

The Darley Dale house is a good example of what happens if a house isn't updated. The blue tiles might have been ok 20 years ago.

If it comes with the lovely Suranne Jones I'll buy it.

How many could live there as a HMO?.....possible lucrative business opportunity.;)

It's pretty isolated for letting, not even in the village. Looks like the lease on the fishing lake and BBC drama series is about the only income possible. Wedding venue may be.

Still given the choice between 'Crickley Hall',a high rise in Kensington or a terraced house in Cambridge I know which I would choose for the money.

It's only been on RM 6 months - not years, yet.

Well it's actually sold now...West Lodge my second attachment. It's a good example of what has happened to northern property these last two decades.

Sold August 1997....£230,000

Sold March 1998...£250,000

Sold 2005.............£725,000

Sold SSTC now (12 years from previous sale ) £675,000?

Whether it's a bargain depends on whether you take the dream scenario of 1997 as your anchor or the height of Brown's boom 2005.

One reason I can talk at cross purposes with posters from the south, the boom here occurred 12 years ago whence it's not done a deal.
