The Mail on Sunday says...

Britain 'is on the brink of the worst house price collapse since 1990s': Experts predict property costs could plunge by FORTY PER CENT

Speaking exclusively to The Mail on Sunday, Prof Cheshire, a former Government housing adviser, said: ‘We are due a significant correction in house prices. I think we are beginning to see signs that correction may be starting.
‘Historically, trends seem always to start in London and then move out across the rest of the country. In the capital, you are already seeing house prices rising less rapidly than in other parts of Britain.’

Personally, I'll believe it when I see it and it's a clickbait title, but, hey,  it's still a title to savour. :D

PS Don't forget that we had another academic quoted in the Telegraph saying he thought prices would stay high for decades.

Just went on their webshite

Says some bloke called Greg wallet. Who cooks stuff and is on the TV,  just bought a house for £1m, which only looked 60% over priced to me, so things must be OK.

Who u going to believe, economists, professors, people with calculators or a man who cooks stuff and who has a successful career of being a gobshite on TV.

The results are in...people happy that The Wallet has bought a house.

Greg didn't buy it, the banks bought it, any falls Greg loses it before the owners lose it....empty wallet.;)

Which unfortunately may mean more TV appearances by Greg to earn some much needed coin.

Everybody needs this crash to happen

Reads to me like the Wail is preying on a weak PM for more HPI subsidies.

Everyone wants something from this PM, indeed.
