NAEA May report is looking good

Very nice!

Dont understand this bit though.

Demand for housing

  • The number of house hunters registered per estate agent branch fell by eight per cent last month – from 381 in April to 350 in May. This is unsurprising as political uncertainty ahead of the General Election stalled buyers’ plans
  • However, demand from prospective buyers has risen by 15 per cent since May 2016, when 304 were registered per branch.

What is the difference between house hunters and prospective buyers?

Whats hard?

May 2016 - 304

April 2017 - 381

May 2017 - 350

April 2017 > May 2017 - -8%

May 2016 > May 2017 - +15%

They are both the same thing.

Ok, thanks I see it now.

April to May this year saw a drop but overall that was up 15% YOY.

The way they wrote it made me think there was some technical difference between a house hunter and a prospective buyer.

Surely the massive massive is that 77% of sales were for less that asking prices.

Agreed plus... only 3% sold for above asking price and the number of properties available to buy rose by 11 per cent last month!
