Recommended Posts

Bath, it's different right...prices only ever go up, Rich Londers snapping up houses....

300K drop and the price is still insane.

That house is one ugly m f.

Suppose you don't have to look at it from the inside.

I assume it used to have a pitched roof at one time before the loft space was converted and the outside made ugly. Still, a £300k drop is pretty good.

 @ the typo in the thread title. Reminds me of a joke:

A batch of hair retstorer was stolen last night. Police are combing the area. *Ba-boom-dish* :D

Prices in Combe Down are mental. I've been expecting Bath to be the next domino to fall for a while. It's been a very weak market at times, but still no visible signs of prices down much. I'm not sure it would have fetched £1m anyway, £750k yes, £850k possibly.

Bizarre house. It looks like the end result of a hoarders clean-up programme!

I thought the thread title was a spelling mistake and read 'prices come down' - wishful thinking :)

My spellings bad, but not that bad.

Evidently it wont get £696K.

The prides up and down the country are ludicrous.

it's like a cartel is running the UK housing market...oh wait....

I don't really get Bath.

Insanely expensive, yet not that many super high paying jobs around the area, their main industry seems to be tourism.  London would be a real pain to commute to, so what is driving the prices?

It is a stunning city, architecturally. Two universities so student demand and I expect plenty of BTL.

It has a lot in common with Oxford, where prices are also batsh$t crazy. Close to Bristol where there are some well paid jobs, and I think there are plans for a quicker rail link to London.

But the major problem is our old friend, HPI (on steroids).
