Can I visit Wroclaw and Krakow in 4 days?

Recommended Posts

Hi - I have some unexpected holiday.

Was thinking of flying to one of these cities Wednesday night, then traveling to the other city by train on Friday night, before flying out on Sunday night.

My questions are:

Which way round should I do it?

Will I have enough time?

What is worth seeing?

What will the train be like?

We spent 3 nights in Krakow.  Lovely city, small enough to walk around a lot of the old walled centre. Don't know about Wroclaw.

Is there some reason why you need to do both in such a rush?

Well I have 4 days, I thought that that would be too much for one city, I am interested in both for different reasons.  I could always return if I miss out on things I really need to see.

Hello,

I'd recommend you buying train tickets in advance as you might struggle to get them on a station without speaking Polish (pkp.pl, click on "Kup bilet" from where you can select English), simply print it or download to your smartphone and keep for inspection. If you end up buying a ticket at a station, it's usually better to ask a random young person for help. 2 days per city is a bit short but enough to get the feeling. Both cities are vast with relatively condensed tourist part. Not sure what kind of person you are and what you're looking for, I'd just wander in the city center, there is enough to see around I think...
