The dreaded Anne Ashworth's column is headed, 'How buy to let could still survive'.  

Anyone familiar with this woman's columns over the years (where house prices 'improving' was synonymous with 'going up', etc.) will recognise what a headline like this says about current trepidation in BTL circles.

Article does suggest that landlord response to raise rents to mitigate forthcoming tax changes is not working...;)

to quote from article

"The drop in demand for homes to let in the capital is an early reality check for landlords in all areas, even those where the lettings sector is still relatively buoyant. Trying to raise rents may not be the right response to the scaling back of landlords' mortgage interest tax relief which takes effect in 20 days time......"
