Ode to futility

Gina Miller,

Took a spiller,

When she went to court,

'The People's Will,'

We shall kill,

Democracy must be fought.

How smug her face,

When she won the case,

And the Commons would have their say,

But it became unstuck,

when disaster struck,

Cameron gave way to May.

The Lords they huffed,

And also puffed,

But the Bill they could not stay,

The People's Will,

Shall get its fill,

Supreme on Brexit Day

A posh bloke called Nigel from Kent

Thought that the EU was spent

So he went off to Brussels

Where he caused some kerfuffels

And told them all to get bent...!
